A list of currently blocked toolbars and search engines etc would be of value

Anonymous 6 years ago updated by RaMMicHaeL 6 years ago 1
So many friends & family have had nuisance or malicious toolbars etc from downloads eg ilivid, conduit ,searchnu , websearch , delta, ask , babylon etc etc which I have removed with often great difficulty.
A list of those currently blocked by unchecky would be reassuring for people to instal your program and would also show toolbars etc not covered which can then be looked at for possible inclusion      thanks broughie

I'm not planning to maintain this kind of list, due to a number of reasons.
  • It's not easy to keep the list up to date, and I don't think it justifies the work.
  • Programs get updated. Unchecky may support a particular version, but not a newer one.
  • There are some less known supported installers which I don't know how to call.

Having said that, Unchecky strives to support all kinds of potentially unwanted offers. If you encounter and offer which is not supported by Unchecky, please report about it here.
Hi!

That really depends on the installation type as well. Mostly these toolbars/offers are blocked, but there can be exceptions when they are presented to the user in a abnormal way. If you can do a little "digging", you can send me the installers or report them here so I can check them out and prepare reports on the ones that Unchecky is missing.

All in all, users should be pretty much protected against these adware offers.
