Your update to the HOSTS file deletes any valid entries in the file. NOT ACCEPTABLE

When you update the hosts file you can't delete whats already in there. That is totally unacceptable. And do a backup first. Totally unprofessional.

When Unchecky updates the hosts file, it only removes/changes what is between the markers # unchecky_begin and # unchecky_end. Your custom entries are never affected.
Could you please provide more information about your issue? How did your hosts file look? Did you use a text editor, or some other program, to update the entries?
I've seen only the behavior the author describes and have used Unchecky across a half dozen machines over about a year with different versions of Windows. I actively maintain my hosts file and unchecky has not created any issues with it. If anything it has helped with the 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 association.
