GPO Deployable MSI

Anonymous 10 years ago updated by Unchecky 6 years ago 13
I would love to be able to get a ready built MSI for mass deployment of Unchecky in the offices I run via Windows Group Policy.  My company would even make a donation to the project for this feature.

I have created an MSI installer which wraps the original setup executable. You can get it here:

https://unchecky.com/faq#msi

Please note:

  • I don't have a Windows domain, so I couldn't verify that remote installation works. I'll appreciate your feedback about whether it works.
  • The source code of the MSI wrapper can be found here: https://github.com/Unchecky/wix-wrapper

I would love to see something like this, too.  Or even just a simple silent install/uninstall option.

Yup, we need a silent command line install / uninstall. An MSI would make the GPO people happy. Once you have this, you will have the corporates starting to be interested.

Yes, we need a silent installer / uninstaller (unchecky.msi). And one more suggestion: unchecky not enter into the registry settings rather write an ini file (unchecky_bg.ini). If this is not possible then the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
Thank you!

We need a 64bit unchecky.msi.
Will  not uninstall or send message from previous page
I don't often rejoice but this is one of those times.
Any update about the MSI installer?

An MSI installer is not planned for now, sorry.
Note that you can use silent installation with command line parameters.
For more details, see here.

One year later.. Would you perhaps consider to create an MSI now? I am very interested in deploying Unchecky via GPO as well.. Thank you!

if that's so important for you, can't you wrap the unchecky installer in an MSI yourself?
