Can I use the in combination with mvps hosts: http://msmvps.com/blogs/hostsnews/default.aspx (opencandy does overlap)

I can't think why duplicates in the hosts file could cause problems.
Windows will probably just use one of the two entries, and will block the address regardless of which line it chooses.

As a side note, thanks for the link. It has valuable information about the fact that using the "0.0.0.0" address is a more effective solution than using "127.0.0.1"
