Hi, can absolutely confirm this on Win 8.1 Pro 32 bit. Took me ages to work out what it was, as I only found that wmiprvse.exe no longer used up to 7% CPU after uninstalling unchecky AND a restart.

Conversely, having gone back to an earlier disk image, with Unchecky running, wmiprvse.exe was not evident. However, I was offered 1 windows update: KB2919355. Once I had installed that, wmiprvse.exe started using 3-7% CPU again. Uninstalling Unchecky and restarting again solved the problem with wmiprvse.exe CPU use.
